In this modern day and age, we are getting more and more exposed to many different kinds of chemicals and toxins.

For example, we eat foods full of dangerous chemicals, GMO foods and even the food packaging is toxic in some cases.

The air itself which we need to keep on living is now overly-polluted.

Not to mention the countless harmful substances with which we come into contact with on a daily basis.

But the worst part is that many out there are not even aware of these dangers.

They think that just because their food is labeled, it’s an assurance that everything is as it should be.

That’s why we have taken the liberty to make a list of the 12 most harmful foods, which can even lead to cancer formation.

The scariest part is that they can be found in most households.

1. Whole Milk

Just like the Ajax Cleanser, whole milk also hides certain toxins which are not found on the label (how convenient for the manufacturers).

Some of these toxins, most of which carcinogenic, include: HEPTACHLOR, certain antibiotics, HEXACHLOROBENZENE, DIELDRIN, DDT, and a specific bovine growth hormone which can result in prostate, colon and breast cancer.

2. Ajax Cleanser and Similar Household Products

It is one of the most popular and most commonly used cleaning products.

However, it hides a toxic ingredient called crystalline silica, which has already been connected to eye, lung and skin irritation as well as cancer.

Luckily, the amount of products being sold out there which use this dangerous ingredient is decreasing.

3. Zodiac Dog and Cat Flea Color

It turns out even your pets aren’t safe. This product contains the ingredient PROPOXUR, which is both neurotoxic and carcinogenic.

4. Alberto VO5 Conditioner

Well, look on the ‘bright side’, if you can even call it that. At least all of the harmful ingredients are there on the label.

These are: POLYSORBATE 80 , FDC RED #4 , FORMALDEHYDE and ‘fragnance’ – a term which is used for covering a number of ingredients which may lead to contact dermatitis.

5. Crest Tartar Control Toothpaste

It contains a number of toxins which one can find on the label: FDC BLUE #1, FLUORIDEE, and  SACCHARIN. All of which are carcinogenic.

6. Talcum Powder

This product, which has talc on its label, may, because of it, cause lung irritations and even ovarian cancer.

7. Beef Frankfurters

This food is full of toxins, both labeled and unlabeled.

Those are: lindane, DDT, dachtal, dieldrin, heptachlor, benzene hexachloride, certain potentially carcinogenic antibiotics, and carcinogenic and feminizing hormones.

The toxin which is on the label is Nitrite – it can lead to cancer in children.

8. Covergirl Natural Finish Make Up

Another product by Proctor and Gamble Inc., it certainly doesn’t have a shortage of chemicals: parabens, talc, bha, triethanolamine, lanolin and, once again, fragnance.

9. Ortho Weed B-Lawn Weed Killer

It contains one dangerous ingredient on the label: Sodium 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetate, 2,4 D. It is highly neurotoxic and carcinogenic. What’s more, it can even lead to lymphoma, tissue sarcoma and many various types of cancer.

10. Lysol Disinfectant Spray

Both unlabeled and labeled harmful compounds include: OPP (Ortho-phenylphenol) which is carcinogenic and can lead to irritations.

11. Zud Heavy Duty Cleanser

One cannot find the toxic ingredient this household product contains on the label. It is none other than crystalline silica, which, as we already made clear, can lead to eye, lung and skin irritations as well as being carcinogenic.

12. Clairol Nice and Easy

Its labels contain toxins like: Quartenium 15, Fragrance, DEA or Diethanolamine, Phenylenediamine and Propylene glycol- which can lead to contact dermatitis.

So, there you have it, dear readers.

The best way to increase one’s awareness of the hidden dangers lurking around every corner in our everyday lives (no need to become paranoid though), is by informing ourselves about the harmful ingredient in our household products which we seem to ignore as most of us can’t find the time to read the labels.

Well, you need to create such a helpful habit and try and avoid such dangerous ingredients whenever possible.

If you cannot avoid them altogether, then try to limit their daily use as much as you can.

Your health is far more important to you than certain brands of household products, isn’t it?
